2025 Exhibition
For his 2025 solo exhibition at Addison/Ripley Fine Art in Washington DC titled, Home, artist Christopher Baer explores what ‘home’ means to us collectively and individually through vibrant oil compositions on panel. The seventeen works in the show explore our idea of what it means to come home, find shelter, or seek our place in the world. The show is dedicated to therapists, healers and spiritual guides —anyone who helps us with the brave and deep work of finding our way home within.

Opening Reception: Saturday, June 4th, 2022 from 4-6p
For his new body work, Baer builds on two decades of formalist abstract painting to explore the open invitation to hold seemingly opposite truths at the same time. Comprised of simple geometries and textured impasto, each work signifies how there are many vantage points with which to investigate our circumstances should we have the courage to do so. The work is an acknowledgement of the tension, discomfort and patience that accompany growth and healing, and is an invitation to become better acquainted with the grace we might afford ourselves and others in any given moment.
